Hi guys, i have a lump in my throat that has begun to concern me?

I know its not swollen Lymph nodes (Thank God) because its not in the location of my Lymph Nodes, its just above my adams apple, its around the size of a garden pea (if this helps?) could it be smoking that causes this? and does it sound like cancer? I do remember getting it about a month ago when I was yelling and straining my voice (because im in the army) and this has also caused my throat to hurt and a small case of voice loss for a day shortly after(The Yelling and Straining, That Is). could this be related? However note that the lump has had no effect on my voice or swallowing food along with any pain of any kind.

goiter,thyroid cancer..it can be that.
