Urgent: Why does my back STILL hurt?!
Question:
Urgent: Why does my back STILL hurt?
My back started hurting a couple of months ago, and this last month so much that I went to the doctor. She told me that is a strained muscle, take tylenol, etc. Well, I've been on vacation and could no longer stand the pain. I went to a massage therapist who decided that it is hurting from a neck/back injury on a trampoline a year ago. She worked on my back for 45 minutes, and gave me a special pillow. But my back STILL hurts. To sit, to stand, to lie, to breathe.
I'm only 15 and I don't think that I should have nearly constant pain like this!
Are there any alternative treatments? Stretching hasn't helped, or baths either. Even 3 Ibuprofen don't even TOUCH the pain.
So I'm up at 3AM because my back hurts ridiculously much.
What the deal?

Unfortunately it sounds like you might have pinched a nerve. You will definitely want to mention this to your primary care physician and see if he can recommend a good neurologist. A good test to check it out would be an MRI of the spine. I guess depending on your level of pain it could be a strained muscle depending on your bed, if you sleep on a bad matress or something like that.
