I have a daughter who is small for her age -- has anybody had to take medical action?

My daughter is in the5% for her age. Her Dr. told her at her 10 yr appointment that if she did not improve by her 11 yr appointment that we might discuss options. I am afraid she will suggest growth hormones.

I was built just like her at her age and do not think it is nessicary not to mention I don't agree with that process.
(I am now 5'6")

Sure can. I too was very small until High School and am now 5'6".
My daughter is the 2nd smallest in her 8th grade class. She is 68 lbs.
Personally I would do nothing if I felt uneasy about the options. See another doctor if you do not like what this one suggests.
It infuriates me when society expects everyone to be clones.
