Toddler stung by wasps?!

Question:

Toddler stung by wasps?

I have a 21 month old who just got stung by a wasp(s) 2 times-once on arm and once on forehead. He climbed up underneath his slide and they apparantly had a nest up under there and got him.
This is is first time ever being stung. I immediately brought him and and gave him a teaspoon of Children's benadryl I had on hand for this kind of thing because I knew it would eventually happen.
My question is how long would it take for him to have a severe allergic reaction (throat swelling, can't breathe)? It's been close to 10 minutes....would I know by now? He seems fine, he's playing again......

Please help this worried mom!

Answers:

he would have had a severe reaction by now.

one thing that helps with the swelling/pain/sting/itch is to take tobacco from a ciggarette (not a whole ciggarette just enough to make a clump over the sting site) and wet it down and bandaide it over the stings. it helps alot. my parents used to do it for me. it helps to take the poison out.
