How soon should a surgery be givin on a broken elbow and needs to be replaced. Its for my grandma?
first the doctor that was in the er he said on fri it would be given then today at the appt, we believe its because he is soo booked up he made the surgery date in 2 weeks, he said its because he can't operate because its still swollen, is that true or is he just BSING

He could be booked, or he could think that the surgery will be more complicated because it's swollen. If it was emergent then he would have made time or found another surgeon to send your grandma too. Just have her relax and keep it elevated and such until the surgery. If she's in pain call the doctor and ask him for a prescription for her, if he didn't already write one. Good luck, all you can do is try to keep her comfortable until the surgery...
