I need help?

I'm 14 years old and I probably need ACL reconstruction surgery on my knee sometime next year and will probably need to be on crutches for a bit. and I was just curious what did people say to you when you walked around school or outside with crutches. What people will say is one of my main concerns.

Believe it or not you will come to LOVE your cast and crutches. I had knee surgery and met sooo many people just by having to have someone carry my books for me ( I almost always tried to ask a cute guy to carry them for me to my next class) Sure most people felt sorry for me but hey I used that to my advantage. By the time the cast came off I had a ton of new friends, everyone knew my name, and being as I always kept a smile on my face and made the best of things, everyone liked me. I know it is a drag but if you make the best of it, it will in no way be as bad as you think. Best of luck to you and warm wishes for a quick and speedy recovery.
