How do you know if you've slept to much?

I know that you're supposed to get at least 8 hours of sleep per night but when I only sleep for 8 hours I always wake up feeling tired, the same if I sleep for 12 hours.


Answers:

If you wake up on your own, after 6-9 hours, you've slept all the sleep you need. The 8 hours per night is an average, some people need more, some need less. Your sleep needs also change due to seasons, health, mental state, food and drink intake etc.

If you regularly sleep 12 hours and still wake up tired, you should see a Doctor, that is a red flag.
