I took him immediately to the vet and they gave me the rimadyl. That is why I was looking for something else.

You can apply Arnica Gel or ointment to the area.
Or you can get Arnica tablets.(use the childs dose)
Available from health food stores.
They are safe for animals... they it on race horses.
