Finger bunion?!

Finger bunion?
I am not sure if this is the proper terminology for this, but since I write a lot, my middle finger looks a bit odd. I guess the pressure of having the pen/pencil against it for long periods of time through so many years. when I compare it to my other middle finger it seems as it there was this abnormal growth to the side, it reminds me of a bunion (which I know is located on your foot). Anyone have any advice of how I can get rid of this?

Quit writing. It is a callus that builds up to protect the area that your pen or pencil presses on when you write. It will decrease over time but will never completely disappear. Most of us have one if we learned to write.
