I recently dislocated my knee cap and I'm wondering if any one out there knows how long it takes to recover?

Once you dislocate your knee cap you stretch the ligaments surrounding it some and it will always (unless you have surgery) be a little more loose than before. Often people dislocate it and are fine the rest of their lives...occasionally it becomes a recurring problem and then you should look into going to see a physical therapist to show you how to properly strengthen your hip and butt muscles. If that fails then surgery is often the final solution. If it happens again then I recommend you go see an orthopedic doctor.
