Is this a clot or just a bruise?
My wife bumped her knee and immediately after bumping it, a bruise showed up. There's a vein there that puffed up and the area all around it turned black and blue. I was just wondering if something like that could cause a blood clot or not? The main thing that concerns me is the vein that puffed up. I've seen many bruises before but I have never seen a vein swell. Is it just that the bump was right on top of the vein or is it something more serious?
