What's wrong with my knees?!

Question:

What's wrong with my knees?

Two friends and i decided to walk to Oxford from Reading in one go, this totalled a distance of 28 miles in the end, and around 9hours of walking. We all suffered different injuries due to lack of decent footwear. I have found that since walking there 2days ago, my knee caps have been extremely painful when walking up and down stairs, but can generally walk on flat ground, however even this is not 100% comfortable, i was wondering if this was serious, or whether it would go after sufficient time and rest.

Any advice would be greatfully appriciated!

Answers:

i have this thing called Osgood Schlatter's disease, and i had no idea i had it until i had to do track for my gym class. My knee would throb and my teacher would make me go on, finally i went to the Dr and she diagnosed the problem. Ice and some tylenol may help, if not try a knee brace thing.

I don't know what kind of pain your in but here's a pretty okay site to check out.

who knows maybe it was just a little too much walking.

Hope you feel better!
