Margii, Cataracts are not an infection but a growth on the eye and makes ur vision bad these can be removed by Laser and ur eye sight will return to normal, Redness in the eye or both eyes that is called "pink eye" it is an infection and requires eye drops and can be contagious if rubbing ur eyes and touching some ones else's face or eyes. You should be able to ask the people at the drug counter if there are eye drops that get rid of it. Good Luck

It sounds like pink eye or some other infection. Gotta keep your eyeliners fresh and don't share them with anyone ever, and also helps to wipe the ends off before and after each use with a clean cloth or tissue (make sure no fibers remain on the tip of the eyeliner though). Bacteria will grow on any eye fluid that gets onto the eyeliner in between uses. Or you could be allergic to the brand you are using. Anyway you most likely need to medical help to treat the eye asap.

One thing you can do right now to sooth the affected eye which is safe, is to make a warm compress with a camomile tea bag. Make like 1/3 or 1/4 cup of tea with the bag in hot water. When it gets to a comfortable temp, lay back and hold the tea bag over your closed eye. Press lightly on it every now and then to allow the juices to wash over the eye. Do this for 10-15 mins...until the tea cools down. As often as needed. Camomile is healing and soothing to the eye. It also works great as a relaxer and will put you to sleep if you drink it as a regular tea.

My son's pediatrician told me about using the tea as an eye healer.

go to a doctor as soon as possible as you might be developing an infection like cataracts leading to blindness

You might've gotten an eye infection from your eye liner
