Question:

FOOTand WRIST PAIN PLEASE HELP! WHAT COULD IT BE!!!!!!!!!!!!?

LEFT WRIST-Since last week my left wrist has had some slight pain when
i bend it. i took some mortin and the pain went away but came back...
Last night it started hurting more and i woke up this morning and was
in alot of pain! it hurts to move all my fingures, but my ring finger
is especially stiff. Is there anything i can do for this? What do you
think it could be?

RIGHT FOOT- Yesterday my right foot started to feel a little bit
sensitive. The only way i could explain it is like, when you have a
fever and it hurts for anyone or anything to just touch your body...
Thats how my foot feels, its only the top of my foot and my ankle. This
morning i woke up and it fellt like it was swollen, but it was not...
the pain is starting up my calf. Would you have any suggestion

Answers:

I am a massage therapist.. the best thing you can do for yourself right now is cold ice plunge... fill up a bucket, kitchen sink, or bath tub with ice and cold water and submerge your wrist and foot for at least 10 min - it will feel painful after awhile because it is so cold, but what it will do is make the blood vessels constrict, so that when you remove them, new blood will rush in to help fix whatever is wrong.. worst thing you could do is use heat, because it is already inflamed...
also, both the wrist and ankle are reflex areas that correspond to the lower lumbar region (ie:siatica) - i don't know if you've had any problems with this area before, but it could be your body telling you to pay attention to this, especially if it's caused problems before... good luck!
