Wrist Sprained or Fractured?!

Question:

Wrist Sprained or Fractured?

Yesterday, while playing a game of basketball, I jumped up to get a rebound from the freethrow that I shot and someone took my legs out. My natural reaction was to break the fall with my hands, but I think I put too much pressure on my left wrist. When I got up the pain wasn't that bad, but I felt a lot of pressure in my wrists. I kept playing on it for another quarter, but the pain grew to the point where I couldn't even hold the ball. When I went home that night I iced it and slept. Today this describes my wrist:

-No deformities
-Some swelling
-Half of the mobility has come back to my wrist without pain
-Full Mobility of my fingers without pain
-I cannot make a tight fist without pain
-I cannot rotate my wrist and forearm side to side without pain
-When I move my wrist down, (my fingers are moving towards my inner forearm) I feel alot of pressure/stretching of my tendons in my wrist.

Please help, full points awarded to anyone who gives the best and most detailed answer.

Answers:

sounds like you sprained it. keep up with the ice, take some ibuprofen and wrap it if you feel the need.
