How long is the recovery from reconstructive surgery on ACL, PCL, MCL or any com!

Question:

How long is the recovery from reconstructive surgery on ACL, PCL, MCL or any combination of the three?

I am having reconstructive surgery on my ACL, PCL in my left knee. I am very active in sports and athletics. Has anybody in similar circumstances really struggled in the longterm to get back to 100 percent? Or is it something that I can overcome and bounce back with hard work?

Answers:

Basically the rehab goes like this:
-Within the first 2 wks you will be able walk without crutches
-Within the first 3-4 months you will be able to run
-In 6 moths you should be able to get back to sports and at about 80% of pre-injury status
-In 2 yrs you will be 100%
All of this assumes that YOU put max effort into your rehab and that you continue to strengthen your leg after finishing physical therapy.
