Help I have no idea what to do?

So this has been happening since i was about 12-13ish. Its a pulsing kind of pain at the nape of my neck, right where the skull ends and the neck beings.... It hurt last night like crazy. What could it be? What causes it? Any at home remedies that could help soothe the pain would be nice.. It doesn't happen often, last time it happened before last night was around Octoberish of last year, if I remember correctly. Then though, the pain went away, this time it wouldn't, and my mom has no clue what to do anymore, if it happens again.

lst off... try ice pak ( fill a zip bag w/ ice & wrap in towel) OR try a heat pak..( a long sock w/ rice & nuke for 1min & wrap in towel)

IF that doesn't help... u also need to exam what u were doin or what was going on in u'r life that may have occured this to flare up.

The next thing, i would recommend.... chiropractor. If u go to the Doc... he may jst give u Rx meds for pain but c the chiro lst. He'll do a xray & adjust if poss. IF he can't adjust b/c of something else the u take u'r results to a Doc. that specializes in joints/bones...

I have neck problems due to accident & all the drugs in the world don't cure it. but the chiro helps sustane it. Then u may have to stretch excersies... to help.
