What are some good ways of treating the blister on my foot?!

Question:

What are some good ways of treating the blister on my foot?

so stupid me decides to go out on a run last night with a pair of old running shoes and i get a blister on my foot, and today i leave for a 3 day football camp. when i was working out this morning, it was irritating me because of its nagging little pain it comes with. i need to know how to either make it go away in a few hours (not very likely) or do something that would make it less irritating during my camp. thanks

You start listening to the advice of women you'll be f_c_ed on this one. Seeing your a football player says to me, running running and more running. And if you inform your coach about this blister, he will basically respond with, who is this guy, a football player or a panzey.

I got dollar coin sized blisters when I played football. I should have taken pictures of them. They were painful and disgusting. But they eventually popped while I was wearing my football cleats. Right on the ball of the foot under the big toe. The skin basically ripped a little and moved around as I walked or ran. After getting home from football practice I would not wear a sock or anything that covered my foot the rest of the night. Place my foot in front of a fan to dry out. That is the most important thing to do. It has to dry. Don't place directly in the sun, that is bad. Wear sandels if you can, maybe with a sock to not get dirt inside the open fresh skin. It has to air out. Remember, you got to clean the blister area with first aid stuff, don't know what you use, but it has to be disinfected.

Then, to not have your coach think of you as a wimp, don't let him know it hurts so much. And wear double socks and place those gauze pads over the blister and secure it with sport tape. It will hurt for a few days, but football isn't meant to be pain free.

So suck it up.

jenonner down below has good advice. I would do that when the blister was just bubblin with fluid. Then clean it.
