Help me! Have I taken too much Vicodin?
I took three generic Vicodin tabs (Hydrocodone/APAP 5/500). I am feeling pretty wacked out. Did I take too much? I took two and didn't have much pain relief so I took another one half hour later and one hour later after I took the initial dose, I am feeling very altered. Am I going to be okay? Thank you.

You have taken too much.
You should not have taken any more than two maximum.
Go and lie down and have plenty of water to drink. Kepp the phone beside you. Ifd you can get someone to sit with you.
Don't go and drive a car or sign any papers.
It will pass, the feeling, but can last about 4 to 5 hours.
If at any stage you feel scared or think you are feeling worse then call an ambulance.
You could also ring a drug and poison information line that can tell you what to expect after taking that dosage. They are very helpful.
