How long does it take for an std to show?

i had unprotected sex when i was 14 i am now 17 never showed any signs of an std and i have never taken a test but some one came in to my class today and talk about it and now i am kind of worried

Some STDs do not have external symptoms. If you are concerned, get yourself tested.
