Broke arm surgery question?!

Broke arm surgery question?

I broke my arm and they are saying I might have to have surgery... How does that work? Is it somthing serious.... is it somthing all I have to do is sit in a chair and be drugged and they operate on my arm or is it more seriosuly like having to stay a while?

(Well I broke my wrist...)

it depends....
i broke the ulna and the radius right at the elbow joint...
so the operation was around five hours long and they had to put in a radial head prosthesis and also a plate and pin for the ulna....
now five months after the operation and 46 therapy sessions
I may still need another operation to remove scar tissue that is limiting the range of motion.
