Answers:

Hello, sorry to hear about your pain. I can relate to pain.

The first thing I would do is to see a family physician for a CT or an MRI scan of that area. There could be degenerative changes or it may be out of place.

If this is not an option, you could also visit a reputable chiropractor, where they could x-ray the area and manipulate the joints, to be back in place. My boyfriend had a lot of pain in that region and is seeing a chiropractor who is helping him wonderfully.

There are risks to chiropractic care, but not more than any other type of treatment.

I have severe pain in my neck, mid and low back and hip on occasion. Some of the therapies I have undergone are Radio Frequency Nerve Ablation, Physical Therapy, Meds, Pool Therapy, exercise, eating habits, and many other things.

A chronic pain specialist may be something to also consider, such as having injection of anti-inflamatory meds injected directly into the source area of the pain.

All of these things take time, money, and consideration.

It depends mostly on your insurance, income to afford co pays, time you have at sitting in a doctor office and what other conditions you have.

Be careful about doctors that are quick to prescribe addictive medications, ask first before leaving the office where prescribed. I only state this because it was the first method the doctor's used to treat my pain. Unfortunately, it also led to a terrible and life threatening addiction to prescribed narcotic and some non-narcotic pain and antidepressant drugs.

I would go to your family physician first, if you do not have one, maybe to a chiropractor.

A short-term remedy is hard to say, as you are not sure what is causing the pain. Some things like heat, cold compresses, aspirin and things like that may not give you long lasting relief, or may not be what you need. So be careful taking advice not from a licensed physician.

I hope I helped.
Pain can be both hard on the person and everyone you are in contact with. If you need someone to talk to please do not hesitate to email me, anytime.

Sincerely,
Linda
