Leg cramps?!

Question:

Leg cramps?

had two (2) operations on my back (L4-L5) after the second operaion, started to get leg cramps in right leg, now some 4 years letter, getting them in left leg also, cramps last for anywhere from just a few seconds to several minutes long, and leaving me unable to walk the next day, would this kind of operation cause such problems.

have had blood test, potassium was where it belonged.

Answers:

I think your "leg cramps" is nerve damage, possibly Meralgia paresthetica. I suspect the pain you feel will eventually lead to numbness in years to come. I would go to a neurologist and get an EMG to see if your back operation is the cause of this. I suspect it is.
