Co-dydramol?!

Question:

Co-dydramol?

10/150 mg. How effective is this as a pain killer. does
anybody use them? Is it just glorified Paracetamol?

Answers:

Co-dydramol is Dihydrocodeine with acetominophen. Dihydrocodeine is sometimes marketed in combination preparations with paracetamol as co-dydramol (BAN) to provide greater pain relief than either agent used singly (q.v. drug synergy). The dosages are discussed on the first site below. I have used it. I am one of those people who has been in a lot of pain for a long time. I find that dose to be effective for a not terrible day, but the itching is not worth it - there are alternatives. The itching gets worse with continued use, and if you change meds for awhile, it is not so bad when you switch back to it again. I am a real wimp on itching.
