Who feels the same as me? Would rather use meds and be dependant as to struggle with pain and stiffness everyday and be miserable?
Answers:
Dependency on foreign chemicals is a dangerous thing. To take in a narcotic substance to manage pain, is to stand on a steep precipice. On one side, health and happiness. On the other side, dependency and addiction.
In the end it is entirely up to the individual and the doctor in regards to what course of treatment to pursue.
Working in pharmacies, I have seen many scary things in regards to drug use. I have seen people with chronic pain go crazy when they can no longer afford their pills. I have been held up at gunpoint by people that have become addicted to the pills that once eased their suffering.
I have also seen a person, who could not walk because the pain in their legs was so bad, get up and walk because of their medication.
Pharmaceuticals are a frightening and beautiful thing. If you use them, please use them responsibly.
