The back of my neck and head hurts when I sit around or watch movies?!

Question:

The back of my neck and head hurts when I sit around or watch movies?

Recently I've started getting a really bad pain in the back of my neck and up into my head. It's more on the left side then the right. And it happenes on my days off or when I don't do alot. I get it mostly in the afternoon. Activity seems to make it go away, or sleep improves it too. The pain varies as I move my head around. anyone else ever had this?

Answers:

Pain on one side of your body, when it comes to things like your neck or spine, is usually a good thing. I mean, better than having pain that "radiates" down both sides of your neck. Pain on one side generally means it's muscular -- simple strengthening exercises for your upper traps, neck, shoulders, and chest should help you out.
