Knee Problems?!

Question:

Knee Problems?

Ive been having knee problems for awhile and no one seems to be able to figure out whats wrong. My left knee is constatnly aching and hurting, and at times is somewhat swollen but no terribly swollen. When i stand, kneel or squat for too long, my knee start to hurt and it gets hard to bend. Stading up from squatting and kneeling, my left knee is slower to straighten out than my right knee. Does anyone have any suggestions on what could be going on? Ive gotten Xrays before but never MRI or anything else. Also, physical therapy did not help. Thanks for your advice.

Answers:

It is most likely one of two things, you have arthritis of some kind, or you may have problems with a nerve in your knee. If a nerve gets irritated or pinched, it can cause your entire knee to swell and cause stiffness and chronic pain. You need to see an orthopedic doctor as soon as you can to prevent further damage, and to get treatment. Sometimes it is as simple as taking a pill for a while, and sometimes it may require surgery. Good luck
