How do you get on a good sleeping schedule?!

How do you get on a good sleeping schedule?

Do you have any tips to make yourself sleepy and to get back on a sleeping schedule? Here, the more activity I do the more active I am at night.

Great to hear from you! (I'll get back ay-sap!) Hmm...Consider this: If you're more active daily, and that's causing you to be more actiive nightly, maybe take a few rest days to get yourself on a good sleeping schedule. If you just workout and run errands for the sake of just working out and shopping, chances are this won't be too hard for you! But if you're a marathoner, like my Dad, and HAVE to run almost every day to reach a goal, this might not be so easy. I personally get tired when I'm active, so I play DDR for a while before I go to bed. Try this:

1. Take a few minutes, each night, to calmy empty your head. Go through what you have done, not what you need to do. Take a few deep breaths, inhaling through your nose, exhaling through you mouth.

2. Take a long, warm shower. This is a two-in-one; to relax your muscles, and to save you time in the morning, so you can sleep in a little more.

3. After doing 1 and 2, put on something comfortable and farmilier. (not the clothes you just took off!) The human body naturally relaxes when surrounded by farmilier things.

4. Read. Doesn't matter if it's newspaper, magazines, or a book. Reading is good for the mind, and always helps me get to sleep.
