well it depends on what kind of person you are if you don't really need the sleep and can sleep like 5 hours and be fine in the morning it would take pretty long for that kind of person to be affected but if you are like me and look like a mess if you don't get enough sleep. Lack of sleep has many effects on the brain and body. Some of the most common ways you can tell someone is not sleeping well is poor reaction times, lessened judgment and problem-solving abilities.
