Is jumper's knee really cureable?

ive been playing basketball for as long as i can remember. in high school, i did football , basketball and track. and for track, i did the 100 and 200. im 20 now and 2 years out of high school. ive went to doctors, did physical therapy.. it was fine for 2-3 months after PT was over.. but it comes back.... If ur some1 or know some1 who had jumper's knee and is no longer a problem and still plays ball 2day 100%. plz tell me so i can have some hope. cuz its been so long. and telling me whatd u do to cure it would help alot as well

Of course its curable. You need to focus on strengthening your hip and butt muscles b/c you are relying too much on your quad to do the work and that is causing the tendinitis on your quad tendon (that's what jumpers knee is). Also, there are straps that wrap around the tendon just below your knee cap to help take the stress off of you tendon. You can purchase these over the Internet. Just search for patella tendon strap.
