What causes you to become exhausted?!
Question: What causes you to become exhausted?
Answers:
Energy loss and exhaustion and why we need to take breaks:
The burning of calories (a unit of energy) in our body relative to the amount we take in will cause exhaustion.
The lack of sufficient sugar and oxygen to sustain the production of ATP will cause exhaustion and the need to slow down.
The release of harmful chemicals, filtered by your kidneys, by your muscles after a certain amount of exertion will increase the need to slow down and eventually stop.
There are many reasons why we need to rest after times of physical exertion. I just can't list them all..A lack or loss of Nor-epinephrine can cause fatigue as well.

How we gain energy:
On the smallest scale? ATP. Our energy comes from the sun and is transformed into ATP by a chain of events. On a basic level, when we consume food the following happens:
- Cells extract energy from sugar to produce ATP, the molecular fuel that powers all life processes.
- Cells accomplish this through the small energy factories in each cell called Mitochondria.
- Mitochondria release the energy stored in sugars.
- Oxygen in your cell's Mitochondria drives the breakdown of sugar.
- Carbon Dioxide and H2O are released during the conversion of sugar to ATP.
On a large scale of how we get energy and where it comes from:
All of our energy ultimately comes from the sun. ->
Plants fueled by sunlight help fuel our non-meat foods (Grain, soy, corn, peas, leafy greens...etc)
The plants we don't eat goes toward the herbivores we eat in meat form.
The Carnivores, that prey on herbivores, we eat, get the energy from eating herbivores.
Finally, when we consume any of the above final products, our body breaks the food down into sugars thus producing the ATP that we are able to live on.
