Question:

How long would a spiral fracture of the fibula take to heal?

I recently had a spiral fracture of my fibula during training. it happened during a fall I twisted my ankle and it has a crack going in a short distance up about 2 inches then on acrossed my bone. this is right above my ankle. could someone tell me the time it will take to heal and to what stages (able to walk, able to carry wieght, back to normal) I went to our local sick call they put it in a splint and schedualed a appointment to get a cast put on and i would like an idea on what i got into sooner

also any tips that would help it heal faster (vitamins, foods, other crap) would be helpful too

Answers:

Milk! Drink some milk! Get out in the sun too for a litle while each day, just make sure you have a good sunscreen.

Healing time tends to depend on the person, You might be in a cast for 8 weeks. Follow the treatment plan the doctor will give you, and take care of yourself!
