Do you know anyone who self injury's?
My friend ha cut herself for awhile now but now that it is summer she is scared to wear short sleeves. she doesn't want anyone to ask her about it. If you know someone who does this how do you help them and where do they do it on there body?

If you're serious about helping your friend, check out these websites. You can encourage her to get proffessional help, but the best thisg you can do as her friend is to be there for her. Educate yourself about the issue of self-injury but most of all just be her friend. be available to talk, don't judge, don't try to 'fix' her, just listen. You could point her to these sites too. They can help her find her way through this. Her best option is finding help from experts in these things if she's willing. You'll find resources if you check out these sites.
As others have already said, this won't go away on it's own. Cutting does not happen in a vacuum. it's driven by massive amounts of pain, your friend needs help to deal with the underlying issues that drive her need to cut. get her help. talk to her first, and if she won't go with you to get help let her know that you love her and that's why you cannot ignore this. Fthen tell someone. her parents, a trusted teacher, counsellor, just tell someone.
