How long does it take for scar tissue to heal after being pulled away from the bone?
I had ankle sugery about a year ago. Everything was fine until last week when I was playing basketball. I pushed off of my foot wrong and felt something pop. I was in tremedous pain. I went to the ortho surgeon the next day. He said it was just scar tissue that tore away from the bone. My foot is all bruised and is very tender. I have this area near my incision that is extremely bruised. Looks like blood under the skin. Is that possible. Should I continue to let it heal on its own, or should I go back to the Dr.
The surgery was to tighten up my ankles so I would not sprain them so often. In the back of my mind I am worried that I messed up the surgery. The Dr. says it is fine.
Please help! Has this happened to anyone else?

Scar tissue can acually take 2-3months to heal. I suggest you go back to the doctor to check it out.
