Outside Ear pain?!

Outside Ear pain?

Can anyone tell me what causes the outside top of my ear to hurt, it has been doing this now for several weeks it is almost a burning pain. It is not inside but the outside top rim of my ear.

No it is at the top of my ear ,no sunburn., nothing like that thought it might be nreve related?

You may be sleeping on it (like a stiff neck) or is it sunburned?
