Upper leg pain and ankle pain/swelling following a softball the shin.?
8 days ago, I took a softball off of the medial side of my shin approximately 6inchs above the bend of my ankle. The shin swelled, but went down soon as I iced my leg directly after the game. Now, my inner ankle and above tendon on the front of my ankle are swollen and very sore. Also, on the same leg, my inner thigh hurts incredibly bad but I pulled the quad of that leg app. 5 weeks ago. It feels as though I have been hit, but I haven't. Also, it doesn't really feel like a pulled muscle so to speak...being an athlete, I am well aware of that type of pain. I didn't know if any of my problems could be related to one another, if I could simply be feeling pain from compensating for my other injuries, and when/if I should seek medical attention. Thanks!
