I am in so much pain, I don't know what to do!?!

Question: I am in so much pain, I don't know what to do!?
Okay so we just recently moved, I helped my bf load a u haul. I wasn't hurting until a few days later. I have had problems with my left side rib cage in my past, like years ago..not sure the cause. Anyways, so yesterday my right side rib cage started hurting off and on through out the day. Today I woke up, same thing was kinda off and on...then for the past...I'd say 4 or 5 hours, it has slowly gotten worse. I was sneezing up a storm, and then suddenly the pain really got bad to where I can't sit, lay down, stand up or anything without it hurting sooo bad. I feel like curling up somewhere and crying. The sneezing finally came to a stop, but my nose keeps running like crazy. I feel a sneeze coming on like maybe every 10 mins or so, but when I do my ribs tighten up and nothing comes..kinda like ( for those who have had c - sections ) you know when you get done and when you cough or sneeze.,..it's there but not there? Make any sense? That's what happens..Anyone else have this problem or anything close to it. I am in a tremendous amount of pain and my boyfriend doesn't get off work for another couple hours, and I have been chasing my 18 month old son, so that doesn't help! lol Oh , I also do not smoke and cannot have anymore kids...so it isn't that. Please please help! And please no smart *** comments or remarks. Thank you!

Answers:

It is definitely possible that you could have cracked or broken a rib. As long as you're able to breathe well and breathing doesn't cause you pain... you can wait until your boyfriend gets home. Then you should probably head over to the ER so they can do an xray to make sure the rib isn't threatening your organs.
