vegus nerve sissues. anyone had this before?!

Question: Vegus nerve sissues. anyone had this before?
Here are my symptoms

Headache (severe and constant)
nausea
vomiting
slow or fast heart rate
passing out
feeling like going to pass out after vomiting
weight loss
feeling full after eating small meal
weakness in whole body
fatigue
trouble walking and concentrating
Slow speech, tongue tied

I go to a neurologist next month, but my GI doc said I could have issues with the Vegus nerve, and that is causing passing out, and feeling of going to pass out
anyone had this issue? what else could be going on? I contacted A facility that deals with neurological issues with the brain (not psychology stuff) i don't need that... so i am going to see if they can help.. doctors have said the issues are migraines, but i don't buy it...
Please help

I assume you have ruled out any heart conditions?

I have had very similar symptoms since 2003 and saw 7 GI's over the years. It is now 2011 and it continues.
My family doctor thought I had 'panic disorder', which I do, but at the same time, there was another underlying disorder which was causing the panic to worsen. Through a manometry test it was discovered that my LES (Lower Esophageal Sphincter) valve is too tight. So the one problem was exacerbating the other.

My GI wanted to do a balloon dilation, which is barbaric.
Apparently he was not aware of modern technology and could have offered me a partial myotomy instead (I just found this out recently).
Instead of taking care of the one identified problem, I was given Klonopin to basically stop me from running from doctor to doctor to doctor. Klonopin calms panic and esophageal spasms.
I've been taking it for 8 years now and I really have no other recourse, since all my medical bills caused me to go bankrupt and now I have NO health insurance.

I personally believe I have damage to the Vagus Nerve and that is why my valve is too tight.
I probably have GERD as well.
When I asked the GI why my valve was too tight, his reply was: "There are no known reasons to cause this. It's just bad luck."

On to the Vagus Nerve:

The Vagus Nerve stretches from the brain through the abdomen. Branches of this nerve go through the brain, ear, tongue, ...digestive system.

Damage to the Vagus Nerve can result in problems moving your tongue while speaking, can cause problems with swallowing and can also effect the 'gag reflex'.

It seems like many of your symptoms could very well be related to damage to this nerve.

I would push the issue with your GI and meanwhile, also consult a chiropractor who can manipulate your body so that the Vagus Nerve is not pressing on certain organs. This is all assuming there is a problem with your Vagus Nerve.

I wish you the very best of luck.

8 years of research.

Sounds like thyroid problems. And that can be hell.
Vegas nerve? Is that a fear of gambling or what?
