Pain, under my left side of ribs,?
it feels like a hot burning crampy like stitch, like i have something caught or trapped, more uncomfortable than toothache,it gets so bad whilst driving im having to poke myself in the painful area to give some relief,
its made worse by standing and sitting, i have not taken any medication other than normal painkillers,

You don't say when it started or how long you have had it for. It could be many things , something simple like trapped wind which will cause massive amounts of pain until it shifts or it could be something more serious.
You need to provide more information like if you have done any excercise that may have started it off etc.
Personally I would call your GP or the out of hours doctor to be seen and find out what it could be. In the mean time drink plenty of water (strange advice I know) but very often pain is caused by dehydration so just make sure you eliminate that as a possibility.
