heartburn will be due to acid reflux from stomach go up into your oesophagus, caused by reflux oesophagitis, chronic gastritis and stomach sphinter problem. certain foods u should avoid such as chocolate, coffee, tea, fried and fatty foods, and alcohol. dont worry, just take antiacid like syrup mmt, antireflux (domperidone/maxolon) and ranitidine/cimetidine, u will be okay.

First, just to clarify, "heartburn" is not a heart condition ... it is when stomach acids splash up into the esophagus. Because the opening from esophagus to stomach is just below heart-level in your body, the burning sensation caused by the acid is felt in that area, hence it is called "heartburn".

In most cases, heartburn is caused by eating too much ... when the stomach is too full, it is easier for stomach acids to splash or leak into the esophagus, especially if you are lying down. This can be exacerbated by spicy foods. Mild heartburn is easily treatable with over the counter antacids (like TUMS) or even just a glass of milk.
