How can you strengthen the ribs?!


Question:

How can you strengthen the ribs?

Given that suffering a broken or cracked rib can mean a long heal with little or no treatment available, how can we prevent it from happening?

1. does breaking ribs make them stronger in future?
2. would sit ups help?
3. would pilates help?
4. would hitting the area with something soft initially to toughen the skin and bone help?


Answers:

You can't strengthen your ribs!

No having a rib fracture doesn't make them stronger in the future....

You need to look at your general health. Keep calcium levels up for healthy bones.... weight bearing exercise (low impact) helps build up bone density.

Keeping fit and healthy, keep active so you have over all good muscle structure.
