Tingling leg?!

Question:

Tingling leg?

I recently hurt my knees by overusing them. I had to try on a knee brace. Well I tried it on and kept it on for a few minutes, but my leg was throbbing. I realized it was too tight. I took it off. Later that day, I touched my knee and the surrounding muscles. The muscles tingled when I touched it. It does feel like pins and needles. If I were to describe it well, it would be like when you touch something and it shocks you for a millisecond. The pain is bearable and i can walk fine, but sometimes pain shoots around that area. Any advice? Try not to tell me discouraging things. I understand it could be bad, but this case doesn't seem all that bad to me. Anyways I'll be going to the doctors in 4 days so don't bother me about that. Is it a pinched nerve or what?

Answers:

hmm pinched nerve sounds reasonable i guess (not a doctor, don't know)0. But u know, most people usually describe a "pins and needles" when their limbs are asleep. So that could probably be it.

However, it seems like something you'd expect from an injured knee--tenderness. You should use the brace, because it will make your knee better. Go back to your doctor and get it re-fitted. He probably put it on tight because your knee would have to adjust to it.

For the pain, just use painkillers... maybe an anti-inflammation one? Or one that's recommended for arthritis? buck up, your knee will get better if you just take care and brave through it.
