My sneakers are hurting me?!

Question:

My sneakers are hurting me?

I just got new nike sneakers (air max penny 1) and I love them, but it's hurting my left pinky toe when ever I run or walk with them. It's when the shoe bends (in the motion of walking) that the shoe actually digs into my left pinky toe. The strange thing is that my right pinky toe is completly fine. I still love the sneakers and would like to continue wearing them. Any suggestions on how I can improve my situation?

Answers:

For about $20 - $30 you can buy a shoe stretcher. It is a wooden foot with little metal attachments that are movable. You put it in the shoe and turn a screw to expand it, and let it sit for a day or two. That will stretch it out in just the right place for YOUR foot. It will not ruin the shoe.
It could also be that you need better arch support. Inserts can be bought for just a few dollars.
If the pain persists you should see a podiatrist.
