How can you tell if a burn is infected and if its healing?!

Question: How can you tell if a burn is infected and if its healing?
I burnt myself by touching the steam part on the rice cooker on accident 3 days ago. It started blistering on one spot I put neosporin on it and a band aid to cover it. I change the band aid everyday but everytime i take off the band aid there is always a clear-yellow liquid on it. It does not smell. The burn is one inch long and maybe a centimeter or milimeter wide. The burn is also brown but if i run my finger over it, it feels like normal skin. Please tell me if it's infected and if it's healing. I am very terrified

Answers:

First off if it was indeed infected, it would be very red around the perimeter and swollen. When you get a blister from excessive heat you need to immediately put ice on it. Then run it under very cold water for as long as it takes to stop the stinging. Some cases the sting may not stop for a long while. We then at a good point pop the blister and cover it with a band-aid and bacitracin. We the repale the band-aid twice daily and watch for oozing of yellow or green substance, we clean this away with peroxide then anti bacterial soap. We cover the wound with a new band-aid until healed.

It sounds like it is healing. Just keep it clean.

clear yellow is just a serosanguinous fluid and is okay. thick pus is what you watch for as a problem
