Wat's wrong with my knees?

ok on tuesday i was walking into town and all of a sudden my right knee felt wierd like something was gonna pop or something so i didn't wanna step on it too much so i was limping. and now it's pretty much the same thing with my other knee now. wat's wrong with my knees?

Sounds like a problem I have fairly often. I had an MRI a couple of years ago. They told me that I had some thinning of some cartiledge and that I should go to therapy for 3 months and then continue on my own pretty much for the rest of my life. The therapy worked but I did not continue at home and my knee gradually got worse again. I notice that when I roller blade it strengthens my knee and I don't get that painful and scary popping sensation. For me the worst pain happens to my right knee just below my knee cap and to the left side.
