What kind of headache is this?
i have had a piercing sharp pain in my head, in single spots, not all over. it has effected my ear (like a slight ear ache). it feels like stabbing, but it also doesn't bother me, although i have experienced them for years.....the times of the pain is getting closer.

Pain is the body's alarm system. It shows something is not normal. You have had this headaches for years, may be you are not listening to the body.
A few facts would have helped. Do you wear glasses? Any problem with concentration? Any discharge from the ears?
What is your age?
