Question:

Please help! I have a weird fever that comes and goes.. does anyone know what this is?

I am a 20 year old female.. about two days ago my whole body (especially my lower back) started aching.. about 20 min later i got a fever (around 8:30 pm). I went home.. slept.. drank lots of fluids... (never lost my appetite so i ate alot) took advil etc. My fever at its peak was 102.5
when i woke up everything was back to normal and i felt fine..

so i got up and went on with my life.. then at night (around 7:30) i started getting a fever again.. this time the peak was about 102

i went to sleep, drank fluids, etc. and when i woke up i was fine..

it is now almost 10pm and for the third night in a row i am getting a fever again!!! right now im only at 99.9 but im sure it will get worse

can anyone help me??

i have nothign else, no stuffy nose, sore throat or anything, (other than a headache)

what could this be??

Answers:

GREETINGS, you mentioned a backache, maybe it's something with your intestines or bladder, some virus or infection type of thing, possibly food poisoning but minor and your bodys fighting it off now with the fevers. One thing I'll ask is have you ever had chicken pox? What you describe is how I got them, I had a fever weird one for 6 days, went to dr, he said infection somewhere in my body which wasn't the case, then they popped out.

I would go to the dr if I were you with the weekend coming and having a fever 3 days in a row. At least the fever is going down that's a good sign, it might just be a virus but I wouldn't let it go, fevers shouldn't last more than 3 days as a rule.
