How to fall back asleep?!
Question:
How to fall back asleep?
Lately I wake up at around 5 AM to get a drink of water or use the restroom and after I cannot fall back asleep. Since it's not late at night, I don't want to take anything (like a sleeping pill) but I feel I could really use the extra hour or two of sleep. Any suggestions?
Answers:
Deep breathing helps me to relax.
Focussing on the breath.
Letting thoughts just drift and flow.
Keeping the room dark.
A warm compress or hot water bottle can be soothing.
