i drop a petrol mower engine and got my finger stuck when drop it,its very sore but i can bend finger tip down a bit do you think it broken or what

Do you have full range of movement? If so you probably just bruised it good.
If it look misaligned, has throbbing swelling, and looks blue or purple, seek medical attention.
