Neck pain and headaches?
The two may or may not be related. I started coughing after recovering from bronchitis, and when I did my head started hurting terribly. I think I must have slept awkwardly as well, because of the past two days I've had headaches and neck pain and I can't seem to get it to go away. Should I just wait it out or what?
Answers:
I don't usually rush to the Docs for headaches and neck pain. Try some moist heat on your neck and shoulders. A heating pad wrapped in a plastic bag with a moist towel under the bag on your shoulders and neck. Don't have the setting too high. Take some OTC advil or ibuprofen. If the pain becomes more intense or you develop other symptoms call the Doc. Two days isn't really that long to wait for a problem to resolve. Treat it for a day or two and see what happens.
